About Brandon:

I am a graduate of louisiana State University with a BA in History, concentration on Secondary Education, and a minor in Political Science in 2010. I am also a certified teacher in the state of Louisiana, Social Studies 7-12, and working on my certification for the state of texas. I currently work as a substitute teacher in Ascension Parish for Dutchtown High, East Ascension High, and St. Amant High. I did my student teaching in order to graduate at Broadmoor High School in East Baton Rouge Parish. Along with those certifications I am also a certified coach in the state. I am very proficient in the subjects of Social Studies- American History, Western Civilization, European History, Civics(Political Science), Geography, Sociology, Psychology, and Anthropology. The main sports I have the biggest background in are baseball, basketball (I worked with the LSU Women's Basketball team for a few years), and golf. I have taught at a few different school before such as Central Middle School in Gonzales and at Dutchtown High School. My main objective when it comes to teaching is not only just for the student to learn the material, but also to develop an interest and passion that I have for the subject matter. Then he/she can translate that same passion over to any interest they may have in life if it be another subject, sports, music, art, etc. I'm willing to work as hard and as long as it takes to accomplish any goal and I relate that same mentality to teaching.
